Vote Steve Brayshaw - Vote Labour in Royal Docks By-Election 26 March

Tomorrow (Thursday 26 March) is the big day - it is polling day for the Royal Docks By-Election in E16, Newham, London. If you are available to help out please contact 8 Constable Avenue E16 (Bus 474, DLR West Silvertown or across the footbridge from Custom House DLR). Text 07772 723 765.

Picture above includes pics of Government Minister, Tessa Jowell, who went out canvassing for Steve (centre) on Tuesday.

Today was pretty busy, I’ll post on it another time - UNISON London Labour Link/APF Forum in House of Commons, Reception for Rev Jessie Jackson in Washington Hotel and this evening a “Chatham House rules” meeting on Capital Stewardship also in House of Commons.

Looking forward to 6.45am report in for polling station duty.

PLEASE ROYAL DOCKS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU WANT ROYAL DOCKS TO GO FORWARD AND NOT BACK.

VOTE ANYONE ELSE BUT THE WEASEL WALES LABOUR SHOW. STEVE BRAYSHAW IS JUST GOING TO BE ANOTHER MUPPET RUN BY THE DICTATORSHIP.

DO THE RIGHT THING, OR YOU'LL REGRET IT GOING FORWARD BECAUSE YOU'LL GO BACK.

ROYAL DOCKS RESIDENT (EVEN IF LABOUR DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE IT.)

You are out supporting the Newham idiots while Newham teachers strike against Academy proposal?

Call yourself a union activist? I wont say what word springs to my mind!

Last Thursday there was a joint strike of NUT and NASUWT members at The Royal Docks Community School in Newham.

It is not often that both unions take joint action and demonstrates the depth and strength of feeling in the staff against the imposition of academy status.

The school will be closed and members of both unions will take part in a series of campaigning activities on the day to bring home the message of what an Ark Academy would mean in the surrounding community and to the primary feeder schools surrounding the Royal Docks School.

There has been no consultation about whether an academy is the right way forward for the school. There has been no debate to justify the allegew benefits of academy status. There has been no satisfactory explanation why Ark is regarded by the Council as the best option.

You should be ashamed.

Hi Anon
I don’t agree with the Academy proposals and will continue to oppose them. However, this is no reason for not supporting Labour. There is no alternative to the Labour Party for trade unionists and instead of pointless whining about things you should be inside the Party arguing from within.

Unless you are one of the toy town revolutionaries in which case please stay out.

Newham actually has far more public services “in house” than I think practically any other borough in London.

I actually suspect you are troy troll.
